The Jungle Book - Classic Disney Tale Finally On DVD

The Jungle Book 40th Anniversary Edition

Rated G - appropriate for all ages
Release Date: October 2, 2007

Although made before I was born, this classic Walt Disney flick was one of my favorites throughout my early years.  I listened to the record album until it was completely worn out.  I'll even go so far as to say that Baloo the Bear was my Spiderman (until I discovered Spiderman of course).  Although I haven't seen the movie in twenty years, it only took the opening credits to remember and dream upon those earlier days.  I still remembered the lyrics to almost every song and sang along with my favorite toons.  Normally that would have annoyed my wife, but she was singing right along with me.  For nostalgia purposes alone, this film is worth having around in your collection.  The two disc set comes with a lot of material about the making of the movie including all of the songs that were cut from the original.  Upon listening you will understand why they were cut.  There were also some major characters removed at the last minute, such as Rocky the Rhino, that get full story board work ups in the special features.
