While the big screen is a much better venue for this film, the DVD release will be very welcome. 300 is a retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae, the massive struggle between 300 Spartans and the massive Persian army. Visually, it is one of the most impressive films ever made. The special effects are out of this world and the battle scenes are incredible because of them. This two-disc special edition contains tons of great extras including a commentary, additional scenes and making of documentaries. This will probably be one of the best-selling DVDs of 2007.
