Ratatouille - A Rat That Anyone Would Want In The Kitchen

Ratatouille A+
Rated G
Living in the French countryside can be hard on a rat. Especially when you dream of becoming a master chef. Against his family's wishes, Remy the rat heads to Paris to pursue his culinary career. Upon his discovery of a young man without cooking talent working in a famous restaurant, Remy finds a way to control the young man like a puppet while hiding from danger under his chef's hat. With his plan well underway, Remy discovers his true destiny.
Pixar does it once again with this sumptuous animated feast. From start to finish, this very original tale serves up a tremendously entertaining ninety minute film that should be popular with both children and adults. Just as you would expect from Pixar, the animation is groundbreaking and spectacular to watch. The humor is witty and not dumbed down for children. But most of all, the Oscar-worthy screenplay is as close to perfect as you can get. Pixar has an intense process for story development that has no equivalent in Hollywood. I firmly believe that if rival studios ever adopted Pixar's story process for their films, there would be no need for critics due to the exceptional quality of the movies being made. Zero negative criticism here. This is one magnificent rat!
